Summer 2009
Our Dear Friends, Summer is with us and here in Exeter we have had some really “Summery” weather!
It is time to update you with our activities both family and ministry and to say “Thank You!”
On March 20th Naomi Elizabeth Joanna Cole was born in Nassau, a much welcomed daughter for Matthew and Wendy and a precious sister for Benjamin. It was our delight to see her on May 2nd en-route
to Spanish Wells, Eleuthera.
Rachel, Tristan and William are all well. We don’t see them as often as we would like but thank God for precious times either at “108” or Ferndown.
Our third visit to the Spanish Wells Methodist Church was very positive as we shared in a variety of services, meetings and activities. We visited over 40 homes which was most enjoyable as friendships were
strengthened and fellowship enjoyed. Please join us in praying that the congregation will soon be able to appoint a resident Minister.
We are looking forward to our August visit to the Green Turtle Cay Community Church – an Abaco Island.
We are leaving the UK on July 21st in order to spend time in Nassau with Matthew, Wendy, Benjamin and Naomi. We then fly to Marsh Harbour, drive to the Green Turtle Ferry and go across to GTCay. We value
your prayers as we seek to help this young church and encourage them in their walk with God and outreach in the community.
Upon our return you will notice a variety of activities including a second visit to minister at a Christian Endeavour partners retreat this time at Rhos - on- Sea and, a weekend away with the Nathania Christian
Fellowship at Paignton.
It is Harvest Festival time so, five Thanksgiving services are planned and along with these is the usual round of meetings which keeps both of us quite busy. In fact, too busy at times and David in particular is
having to consider cutting back as health issues dictate.
The 2010 Sunday Diary is almost full and the weekday/night filling up fast so, we look to the Lord for His help and provision as we seek to preach the unchanging Gospel in a rapidly changing world.
An April visit to Great Guana Cay and in August to Treasure Cay will enable us to visit family and keep in touch with many of our Bahamian friends.
The Good News Paper ministry is flourishing. August sees the publication of the 100th issue. Over eight years the circulation has grown from 13,000 to 60,000 per month. We feel privileged to be a small part of
this exciting ministry as each month we distribute over 1500 copies. Many people have met with Jesus in a life changing experience. http://www.goodnews-paper.org.uk/
Well that’s our news at this time so, we sign off as usual.
God bless you.
