Christmas 2009

Our Dear Friends, We take this opportunity to wish you a very happy Christmas and a very blessed 2010. How time flies, ten years into the twenty first century!

Here we are with our ministry update firstly with a word of thanks. We are deeply grateful for your friendship and fellowship during another year. Your part in our ministry is incalculable. The past Months have brought us much joy in His service. Our Month long visit to Green Turtle Cay, Abaco, Bahamas, was a great challenge in many ways but through prayer, visitation and preaching we saw God’s Hand working in people’s lives and various situations. Please continue to pray for the leaders and congregation of the Green Turtle Christian Fellowship.

Of course our Bahamas visit meant having the joy of seeing Matthew, Wendy, Benjamin and Naomi as we were passing through. They are all doing well. We are delighted with Matthew and Wendy’s involvement with the Youth work at their Church. They plan to visit the UK in 2010.DV.

Our visit to the Christian Endeavour Partners week at Rhos- on- Sea was a memorable experience as we enjoyed rich fellowship with many who had been helped by and helped with CE over many years. David had the privilege of ministering the Word on five occasions.

Again in October we were on our travels but not so far – this time to the Park Hotel in Paignton, South Devon, where David was the speaker at the Nathania Christian Fellowship weekend and gave four messages to an enthusiastic group of people.

David spoke at seven Harvest Thanksgiving services and has recently completed five Mondays of Bible studies at the Exeter Salvation Army.
Those of you who receive our twice yearly letter know about our ongoing ministry in some fifty Churches, mainly in Devon, Cornwall and Somerset. How privileged we are! During our travels we meet a wonderful cross section of people from different denominational backgrounds but all with a desire to hear the Word of God. We are so thankful that Souls have been saved, backsliders restored and others encouraged in their faith. Of course we meet people with a diversity of needs and are often engaged in a counselling capacity. As well as homemaking, Christian Endeavour, Ladies meetings, Kathryn has been a frequent visitor to the local Hospital and homes ministering to the sick and elderly.

The Good News paper ministry is ever expanding as more Churches and individuals recognise the benefit of such an evangelistic paper.

Rachel, Tristan and William are doing very well with William growing and moving fast! We try to see them as often as possible but we do not have many meeting free and convenient days at present.

]As we write this letter David is preparing his evangelistic talk for the three Culm Valley Crusade Choir Concerts in December when at the close he offers a booklet to those who request one. At the 2008 concerts almost seventy booklets were requested. Kathryn and her fellow CE leaders are preparing for the Christmas presentation when a good number of parents and families attend. We certainly value your prayers as we seek to make Jesus known in our generation.

Health-wise we are both reasonably well apart from a few aches and pains but, we keep taking the pills!!

If/ when you have time then please drop us a line with your news either snail or e-mail – addresses above.

God bless you.

(If you no longer wish to hear from us, or if you wish to start hearing from us, please let us know!)

David and Kathryn.
