Christmas 2007

Our Dear Friends,

We extend season’s greetings to you and trust that the year 2008 will be a good one for you in every way! May the God of Peace be with you!

FAMILY. We are delighted to announce that Rachel and Tristan are to become parents in February God Willing. The official news broke the morning we left Heathrow for Great Guana Cay. We are delighted at the prospect of a second grandchild and nearer home.

Matthew, Wendy and Benjamin are doing fine with Mr “B” growing up fast. We spent a special week with them on our way home from Guana Cay. Sunday night phone calls and the occasional email keep us in touch.

Whilst we were overseas David’s sister’s husband Peter, succumbed to cancer. Once home we were able to join other family members and friends in a lovely Thanksgiving service.

MINISTRY. Again we must say how much we appreciate your interest in our ministry. We felt that the month spent at Great Guana Cay was very positive with good meetings and as we visited people in their homes, work place and on the street good conversations took place. August is usually a slow month for tourism and some of the families take their vacation and some of the men folk are away craw fishing..

A lot of meetings have been undertaken since September covering many miles. At the beginning of the year David made the hard decision not to undertake Women’s meetings, which averaged fifty per year. Kathryn as you will have noticed continues to be busy in that area as well as the term time weekly Christian Endeavour meetings at Pinhoe Road Baptist Church. Hospitality and visitation continues to take up much of her spare time with both ministries proving fruitful.

David continues to act as an agent for the monthly “Good News” paper and currently distributes 1280 copies to some fifteen local distributors in Exeter and Mid Devon.

In early October he spent five days in East Yorkshire where he ministered to a very warm and loving group of Christian Endeavour supporters. This was a very special time as it was 50 years ago on October 15th that he became a Christian at a Christian Endeavour meeting.

The Global Outreach Mission family continues to grow around the World and we value prayer for over 400 people serving in nearly 50 countries.

We have a small UK family- Barry and Jean Burton in Grantham, Lincolnshire, David and Jean Foster and Idella Simmons in Manor Park, London, Mark and Sharon Perkins in Exeter, Devon, Bill and Pat Turner in Birchington, Kent. Pauline Linton from Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire is serving in Gabon, West Africa.

We continue to host the monthly Prayer Fellowship and Lunch where voices blend together at the Throne of Grace interceding on behalf of our family around the world. We have experienced some marvellous answers to prayer!

Again, we want to thank you most sincerely for your much appreciated prayerful support through another year. We Praise Him for all that is past and trust Him for all that’s to come!

God bless you. Yours in His glad service,

David and Kathryn.
