Dear Friends,

We wish you a very Happy Christmas and a very blessed New Year!

Once again we are delighted to be greeting you with a short letter and our next itinerary.

The past seven Months have been full of activity, as we have travelled near and far sharing the Good News of the Gospel.

Our May visit to the Methodist Church at Spanish Wells, was a most delightful and rewarding experience. The Island people are so warm and friendly and welcomed us with open arms and hearts. It was a joy to minister the Word on the four Sundays and at a variety of weekday meetings. David first visited the Island in the autumn of 1969!

In August we were privileged to return to Treasure Cay and to the Community Church. We were able to build on friendships established on past visits and to make new friends in the community some who had become residents since our last visit two years ago. Again, God was pleased to bless His Word on the Sundays and at the Ladies meetings at which Kathryn spoke. Home visitation is always a blessing to us on this lovely settlement.

On both visits we were able to spend time with Matthew, Wendy and Benjamin to and from the Islands. We don’t need to tell you how much this meant to us!!

In July we had the pleasure of having them visit with us! This was such a blessing in so many ways. Rachel and Tristan were able to join us for a few days, which was really great as family gatherings will be few and far between. We spent three nights in Barnstaple belatedly celebrating David’s 65 birthday (June 14th) and in anticipation of our 35th wedding Anniversary (August 7th)

At the end of the Month we all joined Matthew at Southampton University when he Officially received his Ph.D.

The biennial Global Outreach Mission European conference in Switzerland was a huge blessing. The joy of meeting with the Missions executive and Missionaries serving in Europe was fantastic and a real encouragement.

Each Month we supply 1155 copies of the “Good News” paper to 13 churches or individuals which is proving to be a great evangelistic outreach.

Over the years we have been indebted to many people for making our ministry possible in varied ways. One such person was Helen Parsons who, over many years took care of our home, our dog and our personal affairs as we ministered overseas. Sadly, in October Helen lost her four year battle with cancer. Like many others who have had tremendous input into our family and ministry, she is now absent from the body but present with the Lord. Kathryn paid tribute at her thanksgiving service.

As you will see from our itinerary we are still keeping busy (no doubt more meetings will be booked) and want you to know how much we value your partnership in the Gospel. Thank you!

God bless you.

David and Kathryn.
