May 2001
Our Dear Friends,
We trust that this letter finds you well in health and enjoying life to the full!
We usually try to send out two letters each year - Christmas and Summer. This year will be different! This letter will cover our appointments for the rest of the year. So, please bear with us.
The proposed Holy Land tour has been cancelled owing to the ongoing problems in Israel. Meetings so far have been many and varied as you will have seen from our Christmas letter but, that does not tell the whole story as many other meetings were booked so, your daily prayer interest is vitally important and much appreciated.
David's weekend at Polgooth in Cornwall was joyful and varied with an epilogue for a children's club on Friday night, Men's breakfast on Saturday morning, Worship and Word Saturday night and a Family service on Sunday morning. It was a privilege to minister to both Methodists and Anglicans, young and older!
Kathryn too, has been engaged in a variety of meetings, with the Monday night Christian Endeavour, Ladies meetings, epilogues at Mums and Toddlers, Mothers Day service and, the practical ministry of hospitality.
Matthew and Rachel are diligently pursuing their studies. Rachel has been afflicted with Glandular fever and its affects for the past three Months.
Again, we want to thank you for your prayerful interest in our family and ministry. We feel very honoured to be invited to minister in so many places. Our 2002 diary is filling fast with just a few Sunday evenings free.
We are being made increasingly aware of the spiritual needs of our Nation and, humbly ask that you continue to stand with us as we seek to share the Gospel message. Please rejoice with us as, during these past Months, many have sought spiritual help and counsel.
May we ask you to remember our health needs at the Throne of Grace and, safety in travel.
Finally, please pray for all those deeply affected by the terrible Foot and Mouth disease, including some of our much cherished family and friends.
God bless you.
Yours in His glad service,
David, Kathryn, Matthew and Rachel
